My wife Joyce and I have been long-time residents of the City of Black Jack. I was appointed to the City Council in 1999 to fill an unexpired term and have been reelected each term since that time.
Before my appointment to the City Council, I served as a member of the Black Jack Park and Recreation Board and the Solid Waste Committee. As a member of the City Council, I served as a member on the City of Black Jack Community Affairs Committee, Annexation Committee, Liquor License Committee, and I am the city’s safety coordinator. I presently serve as Council Liaison to the Safety and Loss Prevention Committee. I also serve on the Missouri Municipal League Municipal Administration and Intergovernmental Relations Committee and Board of Directors.
During my career I have held management and supervisory positions with companies such as the U.S. Paint, where I served as plant superintendent, and Chrysler Corporation as production supervisor.
My education includes attendance at Moorehead State University, in Moorehead, Kentucky. In addition, I have participated in several seminars and lectures on management / supervision, and I currently hold a supervisory certificate from University of Missouri St. Louis.
